Gigrin has been the offical Red Kite Rehabilitation Centre since 2003.

Our first red kite patient was found hanging high in an oak tree here on the farm. It had binder twine wrapped around its legs and this had snagged on twigs. Tony Cross - the Welsh Kite Trust project officer - was called in from his New Years day lunch to climb the large Oak and rescued the bird.

Since that day we have seen a large number of red kites coming through the door
